Supervisor: Performance Planning – Establishing Performance Criteria The Office of Human Resources will create the performance documents and notify supervisors to begin the process by following these steps: • Log into Team Georgia/TeamWorks • Enter your Employee I.D and PeopleSoft password • Select Supervisor Self Service on the menu bar • Select Performance Documents • Select Current Documents • Select Annual Performance Review for the current year • Select Establish Evaluation Criteria • Add data to sections 2, 3 and 4 • Notify employee to review plan • Discuss plan with employee • Complete the plan

  4. Supervisor: Performance Planning – Establishing Performance Criteria Go to the Team Georgia’s ESS/TeamWorks website Then enter yourPeopleSoft User IDand Password

  10. Supervisor: Performance Planning – Establishing Performance Criteria Section 1 – Statewide Core Competencies Section 2 – Goals and Objectives Section 3 – Job Responsibilities Section 4 – Individual Development Plan There are 4 sections of the Performance document:

  12. Supervisor: Planning – Establishing Performance Criteria: Section 1 Individual Goals/Competencies Section 1 –The Statewide Core Competencies is pre- populated and cannot be edited. The Section Weight is 25% Review Statewide Competencies and Proceed toSection 2by scrolling down

Supervisor: Planning – Establishing Performance Criteria: Section 2 Individual Goals/Competencies • Section 2 – Individual Goals and Competencies • Supervisor must include each of the following: • An activity related to DCH’s 2011 Initiatives • An activity related to DCH’s Core Competencies Note: A minimum of 2 and maximum of 4 activities should be in this section. See the Appendix for descriptions of the WIG, Initiatives and Competencies.

  15. Supervisor: Planning – Establishing Performance Criteria: Section 2 Individual Goals/Competencies Section 2.To add a goal/competency, click Add Individual Goal/Competency Change Section Weight to 25%

  17. Supervisor: Planning – Establishing Performance Criteria: Section 2 Individual Goals/Competencies Use the S.M.A.R.T goal formatfor writing descriptions Enter a titleand a description Click Update to add changesand to return to the Performance Criteria

  19. Supervisor: Planning – Establishing Performance Criteria: Section 2 Individual Goals/Competencies The data in the Description field can be edited and/or deleted after data is added

  22. Supervisor: Planning – Establishing Performance Criteria: Section 2 Individual Goals/Competencies Click Yes – Deleteto confirm you want to delete,as this will permanently remove the goal/competency.

Supervisor: Planning – Establishing Performance Criteria: Section 3 Job Responsibilities • Section 3 – Job Responsibilities • Pre-populated based on the job description • Identify responsibilities that are relevant to the position and delete those that are not • Modify responsibilities to reflect specific position • Use the S.M.A.R.T format to modify job responsibilities

Supervisor: Planning – Establishing Performance Criteria: Section 3 Job Responsibilities Two Options for modifying job responsibilities: Option 1 Delete all Job Responsibilities Copy and paste responsibilities from Word template into Section 3 Option 2 Click the Add Job Responsibilities link Click Add your Own and Next Copy and paste data into Title and Description fields Click Update then Save on the Performance Criteria page Note: Option 2 will add the responsibility to the bottom of Section 3.This method will add to the total number of responsibilities.You must delete irrelevant responsibilities

  29. Supervisor: Planning – Establishing Performance Criteria: Section 3 Job Responsibilities Click Yes - Delete to authorize change.

Supervisor: Planning – Establishing Performance Criteria: Section 3 Job Responsibilities If you have written all the Job Responsibilities in the suggested Word template, then copy and paste the data here.Otherwise, you’ll need to type in each of the Job Responsibilities. Either way… Remember to use the S.M.A.R.T format. Enter the Title and Description either by pasting from the template or typing each one manually. Click Update to add description and return to Performance Criteria

  40. Supervisor: Performance Planning – Establishing Performance Criteria When you are finished with the plan… Click Save Click Return to Document Details to select another employee Or Click Notify to send an e-mail to the employee to advise that the plan is ready for review

  41. Supervisor: Performance Planning – Establishing Performance Criteria If e-mail address is not already populated, then enter e-mail address Click in the Message Text box to type message Click Send

Discussions prior to editing document will keep changes to a minimum Employee can simply exit the document if there are no changes The Supervisor can re-open the plan to make changes if necessary Use the Word template provided by the OHR to create the Goals and Responsibilities and the copy and paste the data into e-Performance. Employee: Planning – Establishing Performance Criteria : Log into Team Georgia – Team Works Select Self Service Select Performance Management Select Current Documents Select Annual Performance Review Locate Establish Evaluation Criteria and click Edit Review section 1 Edit sections 2, 3, and 4 as necessary Follow these steps to review and edit your performance plan document:
