  4. Chew on this… • Minimum wage is currently $10.25/hour • Thousands of scholarships are awarded for extra-curricular achievement • The value of these scholarships ranges from $100 - $60,000 • At $10.25/hour, this means you could be getting ‘paid’ for almost 6,000 hours of work

  5. Apprenticeship $ and ¢ • $40 fee to register as an apprentice • This fee is waived for OYAP students • $400 for eight weeks of instruction • 5 units of instruction per apprenticeship ($2,000 total) • $100 to write the Certificate of Qualification exam
