  2. Is Urban Sprawl the American Dream or the World Nightmare? TASK: After reading informational texts on urbanization and interviewing experts on urban design, write a report for the City of Austin Planning Commission that examines the causes of urban sprawl and explains its effects on human populations. Make predictions about how this process will affect the world as other regions become more developed. Support your discussion with evidence from the texts and your research.

  3. Is Urban Sprawl the American Dream or the World Nightmare? CRITERIA: The city of Austin Planning Commission is your audience. Analysis requires at least 3 causes of urban sprawl. Include at least 3 pressures or impacts sprawl places on society. The city requires at least one cause or impact must be an Austin or Central Texas issue. Include at least one physical geography connection within your report (land, water, air, vegetation) Go global. Make realistic predictions about an actual developing countryin the world if they grow like the USA.
