Online Diagnostic Assessment • To provide formative feedback on a learner’s strength and weakness • Web-based, immediate feedback (Diagnostic Profile) • Reading and listening skills • Criterion-referenced (ILR proficiency guidelines) • Adaptive to the learner’s performance • Machine scoring of CRT items

  4. ODA Languages Available Forthcoming: Balochi (LC only), Brazilian Portuguese, Dari, French, Pashto, Somali, and Urdu are also in validation or under development.

  5. ODA Basic Unit of Assessment Testlet • Passage (ILR Level 1 to 3) • Content Items Main Proposition Supporting Proposition 1 Supporting Proposition 2 (ILR Level 2 or higher) • Linguistic Items Lexicon Structure Discourse (ILR Level 1+ or higher)

  7. ODA Procedure Higher Set Entry Level Set Login Lower Set • Up/Down criteria: Pass/Fail in a set of three testlets • Test ends when a learner fails two sets
