  2. Introduction You may have seen a butterfly in your back yard. You are going to learn about what butterflies eat, and where they live, and what their live cycle is and about their body parts.

  3. Butterfly Life Cycle • Female butterflies lay lots of eggs. • Butterflies lay one egg at a time in small clusters or hundreds at a time • The lava stage last from two weeks to a month

  4. Butterfly Shelter • Butterflies live in bright places. • Butterflies live by flowers. • Caterpillars live by their food.

  5. Butterfly Food • Butterflies eat the sugar found in tree sap and rotting fruit • Butterflies find their food by sight, smell and taste. • They also feed on flower nectar.

  6. Butterfly body parts • If you touch a butterflies wing it may crack. • Their wing is very frugal • Their wings are very colorful
