  3. Research Question • โปรโตคอลiSCSI นั้นมีประสิทธิภาพแค่ไหน

  4. Research Objective • ศึกษาประสิทธิภาพของโปรโตคอล iSCSIว่ามีประสิทธิภาพเป็นอย่างไรเมื่อเทียบกับ โปรโตคอลอื่นๆที่นิยม ทั้งแบบ File-level และ Block-level รวมไปถึง bandwidth ที่จำกัดในสถาวะแวดล้อมที่ต้องเรียกใช้งานในระยะไกล

  5. Research Methodology • 1. ทำการศึกษารายละเอียดของโปรโตคอลiSCSIที่ใช้ว่ามีคุณสมบัติอะไรบ้าง • 2. ติดตั้งระบบที่ใช้ทดสอบ • 3.ทดสอบการทำงานโดยวัดประสิทธิภาพเทียบกับโปรโคตอลอื่นที่มีอยู่

Research Result • ผลการทดลองวัดประสิทธิภาพการรับส่งข้อมูลขนาดต่างๆ แสดงให้เห็นว่าโปรโตคอลiSCSIมีประสิทธิภาพการทำงานที่ดี เมื่อเทียบกับ SMB (file-level) มีประสิทธิภาพเหนือกว่าในทุกการทดสอบ แต่เมื่อเทียบกับFibre channel (block-level) นั้นผลลัพธ์ที่ได้นั้นใกล้เคียงกัน ทำให้ผู้เขียนเข้าใจลักษณะของโปรโตคอลของiSCSI มากขึ้น
