Introduction. The changes to MDO described in the Guide applies only when the user is modifying contracts exceeding 100 Line Items. If the user is modifying contracts with less than 100 CLINs, the changes in this Guide do not apply.

Introduction • The changes to MDO described in the Guide applies only when the user is modifying contracts exceeding 100 Line Items. • If the user is modifying contracts with less than 100 CLINs, the changes in this Guide do not apply. • Refer to the on-line user manual and training material for additional guidance on using MDO.
MDO 1.1: General Concept • Previous versions of MDO did not allow user to modify contracts exceeding 100 Line Items. • MDO version 1.1 allows user to modify contracts that exceed 100 Line Items. Major changes when modifying contract exceeding 100 Line Items are: • Users must enter Line Item to be modified. Browse Line Items is not available when contract exceeds 100 Line Items. • View ACRN: ACRN and associated Line Item will not be visible until the Line Item is selected to be modified.
MDO 1.1 Changes: When contract exceeds100 Line Items • When Contracts exceed 100 Line Items: • Users will need to enter the Line Item to be modified on a new page “Insert Line Items to Modify.” • Users will no longer be able to view Line Items on the “Browse Line Item Page”, until they have selected the Line Item to be modified. • Only those Line Items selected to be modified will appear on “Browse Line Item Page.” • Only one Line Item at a time can be modified. Users will not be able to apply changes to all line items when modifying contracts that exceed 100 CLINs. Confirmation Page will not display ‘Apply These Changes to Other Line Items.’ • Users will no longer be able to view the association between an ACRN and the Line Items, when Line Items exceed 100, until the CLIN(s) to be modified have been selected.
Line Items exceeding 100 (1) • When the Line Items exceed 100: • Browse Query Results Page – When the User clicks on the “Create” link they will get a message which states “The Contract selected exceeds 100 CLINs. Due to the size of this contract, Line Item information will not down load or display on the “Browse Line Item Page”. In order to modify a CLIN for this contract, users will need to select the CLIN(s) using the “Modify Line Items” link. • Browse Line Item Page – There will be a new link “Modify Line Items” which will take the User to a separate page to allow entry of the CLIN(s) to be modified. CLINs can only be selected one at a time. • Insert Line Items to Modify – This is a new page. When the Line Items exceed 100, the user will be required to enter the CLIN they wish to modify on this page. • View ACRN Page – When Line Items linked to a contract exceed 100, the ACRNs will not display until the user has selected the CLIN(s) to be modified. • Confirmation Page – “Apply these changes to other Line Item(s)” link will not display.
Line Items Exceeding 100 (2) When Users click on this link and Line Items exceed 100, generate the message page below. The Contract selected exceeds 100 CLIN(s). Due to the size of this contract, Line Item information will not download or display on the “Browse Line Item Page” In order to modify a CLIN for this contract, users will need to select the CLIN(s) using the “Modify Line Items” link.
Line Items exceeding 100 (3) When Line Items on a Contract DO NOT exceed 100, this page will not change. • This is how the screen will display when there are 100 + Line Items on a contract. • Users will need to click the “Modify Line Items” link, to have the next slide display.
Line Items exceeding 100 (4) • Users MUST enter the Line Item they wish to modify in this input box. • Users will be able to modify as many Lines Items as they need to, but only ONE CLIN at a time can be entered on this screen. • Submit will take the User back to the Browse Line Item Page. • Submit will show the Line Item identified on this page. • All associated Schedules for the Line Item identified will be shown.
Line Items exceeding 100 (5) • The Line Item identified on the Insert Line Item to Modify page will be shown. • From this point on, there is no change in how a Line is modified. • Users can click on the pencil to edit or the minus sign to delete.
2. Line Items associated to an ACRN exceeding 100 (1) 1. When Line Items linked to a Contract DO NOT exceed 100 this page will not change. 2. When Line Items linked to a Contract go beyond 100 this area will be BLANK until the User has selected the Line Items they wish to modify.
When Line Items exceed 100, the “Apply these changes to other Line Item(s) link” DOES NOT DISPLAY.
Summary • This manual describes only those changes to MDO when a user attempts to modify contracts exceeding over 100 line items. Major changes are: • ‘Insert Line Item to Modify’ page replaces ‘Browse Line Items’ page. User must enter line item to be modified. • On ‘View ACRN’ page the ACRNs will not appear until the Line Item being modified has been selected. • If a contract does not exceed 100 Line Items, the changes described in this guide do not apply. MDO will appear and function exactly as in previous versions.
