What is Middleware? • Middleware is a software component that implements CPE’s User Interface and provides to subscribers functionality offered by the operator: linear TV, PVR, VoD etc. • Middleware consists of • Client – application running on Set-top Box (or other CPE) • Server – back-office supporting delivery of the functionalities CubiTV for Pay TV
