Nok Fleet • The company uses the same aircrafts and maintenance team as Thai Airways International (PLC). • Boeing 737-400: worldwide airlines for short-haul route • Boeing 737-800: Fly greener and enjoy the experiences of world class technology. • ATR 72-200: compact size aircrafts for commuting from point to point. • Cessna 208B Grand Caravan: For private party and small group.

  4. Nok Pilot and Crews • The company pays the utmost attention to our staff’s qualifications. • Captains are regularly trained according to an advanced standard course. • All captains and crews are directly supervised by our Executive Flying Director.

  5. Routes -In earlier, • Chiang Mai, Udon Thani, Had Yai, Phuket, Phitsanulok, Chiang Rai, Mae Hongson, Ubon Ratchathani, Loey, Nakorn Si Thammasart, Trang, Krabi. • Bunggalore, Hanoi, Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, and Burma.

  6. In 2007, • The company was wet lease 2 of airplanes B737-800 to increased frequency of take off in each routes but it stayed for 6 month only due to an oil crisis. - In present, • Chiang Mai, Udon Thani, Had Yai, Nakhon si Thammarat, Phuket.

  7. Flight Operation Department (OP)

Pilot’ Schedule • This department must plan a flight and time for each pilot to fly on plane. • By select the flight for each pilot and usually a number of flights of each pilot must be equal. • Each pilot can not fly more than 4 lands or 8 hours. After 4 lands, the pilot must rest for 8 hours continuously to fly on the next flight. • Can not fly more than 45 hours in 1 week according to the Department of Civil Aviation rules.

  9. Pilot’ Schedule • A staff will change a schedule follow pilot’s flight exchange form. • In case of the pilot forget to come for flying, the department must find a substitute pilot immediately. • Managing the flight scheduling by using a Microsoft Excel.

Record and Correct Pilots’ Information • Flight time, simulator training, documents of other training that concern with flying, health certification from doctor • The department must check all the flight time to suit with each pilot not to be over than a standard. • The pilots’ information must be update always because of safety in flying an airplane.

  11. Record and Plan (Flight Training) • Each pilot must go to simulator for a training every 6 months.

  12. Coordinated with Other Department and Organization • Department of Civil Aviation • will allow Nok Air to continue their business by checking whether the company pass the standards or not. • Thai Airways International Company Limited • Other department inside an organization

  13. Coordinated with OtherDepartment and Organization • Because Nok Airlines Company is a low cost airline, so the company coordinates with Thai Airways in order to use their resources.

  14. Approach Chart • Approach chart is a common term used to describe the printed procedure or chart, that pilot use to fly approaches during IFR operations.

  15. Approach Chart • Nok Air choose to use an approach chart from Jeppensen Company in USA because most of Nok Air’s pilots are came from Thai Airways International Company and Thai Airways also use the approach chart from this company. • The approach chart must be updates always.

  16. Budget and Perdiem • A monthly sector & transportation allowance Calculation: • Perdiem = Tax free + Transportation allowance + Tax • The amount of transportation allowance is 1,000 baht per duty day.

  17. Pilot Emergency Training • How to cope with an emergency on an airplane such as fire, short circuit. • Training every year for safety during their duty.

  18. Aircraft Operations Manual (AOM) • For pilots in order to use on a plane. • Containing all of information about the airplane that the pilots are flying. • It is very important for an emergency during flying the airplane.

Developing the Nok Airlines Company Limited • “Six Sigma” is a business management strategy for improving the quality of process output • By identifying and removing the cause of defects and variation in manufacturing and business process. • This strategy follows a defined sequence of steps and has quantified financial targets.
