  37. Imam Ahmad ibnHanbal [r`a] says in al-Radd `ala al-Jahmiyahwa al-Zanadiqah, pp. 149-150: “And so Allah – and to Him belongs the highest example – encompasses everything and knows how it is and what it is without being in anything that He has created.”

  38. Imam Ahmad ibnHanbal [r`a] says in al-Radd `ala al-Jahmiyahwa al-Zanadiqah, pp. 155-6: “When you want to know that a Jahmi lies regarding Allah when he says that Allah is everywhere and that no space is free of Him, ask the following....”

  39. “...Is it not so that Allah existed before everything else? He will say: Yes. Then ask him: When Allah created did He create that which He created inside of Himself or outside of Himself? This leaves only three views, one of which he has to embrace...”

  40. “...a) If he claims that Allah had created creatures inside of Himself, he has become a kafir since he has in fact claimed that Allah has created Jinkind, mankind and the Shayatin inside of Himself...”

  41. “...b) If he claims that Allah created creation outside of Himself and then entered it, this is kufr also as he will have claimed that Allah is everywhere including foul and dirty places...”

  42. “...c) And if he says that Allah created creation external to himself and then did not enter it, he will have renounced his view in entirety and this is the view of Ahl al-Sunnah.”

  43. 6- DIFFERENCE المخالفة للحوادث

  44. DEFINITION OF DIFFERENCE To believe that the essence, qualities and deeds of Allah differ from that of creation.

  45. TEXTUAL PROOF ((ليس كمثله شيء وهو السميع البصير)) ((Nothing is like Allah and He is the All-hearing, the All-seeing.)) Surah al-Shuwraa: 11

  46. RATIONAL PROOF Divinity demands perfection and lack of defects. The clearest defects are the qualities of creation – such as sleep, ignorance, hunger, thirst and general need – and as such Allah is free of all of this.

  47. As such the essence of Allah differs from that of creation in that it does not require a Creator or anything else to exist.

  48. The qualities of Allah differ from that of creation. As such the hearing, sight and knowledge of Allah differ from that of creation. They carry the same names but differ in reality and essence.

  49. The deeds of Allah differ from that of creation. This is because Allah does without need of intermediaries and instruments. He does without needing to do. He does as He wills and cannot be deterred. Everything He does carries a wisdom and purpose.
