Why did Lee bring up the broken arm at the beginning of the book when it was a few years after in the order of events? • A. She started the book like that? WTH? • B. That’s the way, uh huh, uh huh, she’s likes it, uh huh, uh huh! • C. The end of the novel should always tie back to the beginning! • D. To compliment Scout’s character with epiphanies and such, and to emphasize that the essay due Monday should end with the beginning! Whoa there’s an essay due Monday!?)
Why did Lee wait 28 chapters to reveal the story of Jem’s broken arm? • A. So you’d forget about his broken arm, and then would go back to the 1st page of the novel • B. Suspense and waiting to find out the reason! • C. It just went with the story, in time… • D. Lee waited for Steve Mortell to be around to give Jem an Armani cast, and just couldn’t wait any longer
How does Atticus’s lack of presence at Scouts skit make you feel? • A. I am REALLY angered…I’m outraged!!! • B. If my kid dressed up as a ham, I'd stay home too! • C.
