Responsible Conduct Of Research (RCR) • Effective Dates by academic year – 8/16-8/15 • All graduate students, postdoctoral researcher associates, research specialists, undergraduate students working on active research projects • 5 hours initial • 3 hours renewal • Masters students (including online and certificate students) • In coursework

  2. Who will monitor? • Student’s graduate academic advisor at annual evaluation • Principal Investigator • Contracts and Grants/Graduate School • Granting agencies (currently just NSF & NIH)

  3. Topics • Human subjects • Authorship/Data management • Conflict of Interest (COI) • Other topics pertinent to the research project (as determined by the PI) or the student’s academic program (as determined by the advisor) • MA topics TBD by departments over next 6 months
