  1. French Trip 2012 For Year 9 students who have surpassed the expectations

  2. Information • This trip is for students in year 9, who have surpassed the expectations set in their end of term examinations and whose results are higher than average. • This trip is being offered to those students as a chance to extend their knowledge of the French culture and will be a great opportunity to use their French speaking skills.

  3. Departure • We will be departing from the school at: • 6:30am 20th June 2012 • We should be back at the school at: • 9:30pm 23rd June 2012 • Please be careful when dropping and collecting your daughter- you will need to be prompt- we will not wait!

  4. Prices In total the price will be £140 This should cover the costs for the main attractions, accommodation and the coach we will be hiring. However you may wish for your child to have some spending money for souvenirs and snacks etc.

  5. Payments • The first payment which is the deposit of £50 should be paid by 10th May • There will then be three instalments of £30 making it up to £140. • If you need smaller instalments see a member of staff.

  6. Activities and Food • We will be spending time at the Eiffel Tower and the Louvre Museum. The Louvre is free and the Eiffel Tower is £11.50 • We may also be shopping in Paris if there is time so you may want your daughter to have some spare money.

  7. Accommodation There were many hotels I could have chosen from but I felt that the Formula 1 Hotel was the better price but also looked very comfortable. It is 31 euros per night and breakfast will be included.

  8. Details/ Kit List • The final details and a reiteration of all points covered this evening will be available in a letter and is available from any member of staff. • Please do not leave without one of these letters as it includes the permission form, dates of payments, health and safety forms and a kit list. • Thank you
