Goals and Objectives • Create standard communications processes (Delitha, Carin, Toni) Nov. 3 • Update AABE branding guidelines • Establish Media Relations process map (from distribution to post-event metrics) • Create Media Calendar • Establish metrics tracking option(s) • Increase AABE brand awareness; establish value proposition (Charlotte, Laquisha) • Develop slogan • Complete brand audit • Complete communications audit • Solicit member feedback • Develop proactive, targeted media relations campaign (Delitha, Kirsten) • Create press kit (Jan. 15) • Develop target publications and contacts list (Nov. 3) • Develop and position AABE members as industry subject matter experts (ongoing) • Issue press releases on important news and announcements (ongoing) • Place byline articles and position papers in targeted publications (ongoing) • Establish AABE library (Laquisha, Susan, Wayne) • Includes articles, position papers authored by AABE subject matter experts (SMEs) (ongoing) • Create list of SMEs and their templated bios (Nov. 3) • Explore AABE online Document Library • Work closely with the Legislative Issues and Public Policy Committees to develop and issue national press releases on AABE position papers. (Alice) • Where appropriate, establish partnerships with other professional organizations (David)
