Manning has made the smart move of getting into the property business in the Cape Cod area right when the tourism industry has blossomed.
Christopher Manning of Cape Cod was not actually from Cape Cod originally. He moved there after University. But, he was always from the East Coast. When he came to the area, the tourism industry was just taking off, and he felt that it would be a great place to set up shop for his own chain of hotels and resorts. All of them have been designed to show off the area’s beauty and entice to as many people as he could to stay there when they wanted a new vacation. He first purchased and then renovated the Soundings Seaside Resort in 1975, and proceeded to manage it for ten years. Then, in 1993, after a few more hotel purchases, he finally founded Pylon Hospitality Management. He still runs this business as of today.
