  2. Career • I chose to be a nurse • My yearly salary is $50,050 • My monthly salary is $4170.83

  3. Housing • I live in an apartment • I pay $765 per month for rent • I pay $120 per month for utilities • That is $885 per month total

  4. Transportation • I drive a Ford Fiesta • I pay: • $224 per month for my car payment • $75 per month for insurance • $120 per month for gas • That is $419 total per month

  5. Other Expenses(Married) Luxury Expenses I pay: $0 per month for a pet $200 per month for groceries $100 per month for clothing I pay: $150 per month for cell phone $200 per month for entertainment $500 per month on student loans Personal Expenses

  6. Other Expenses(Married) Total I pay: $250 per month for health insurance I spend at total of $1,400 per month on my “other expenses” Health Insurance

  7. Savings • I put $1,466.83 in my savings account every month

  8. Percentages • Housing = 21% • Transportation = 10% • Personal Expenses = 7% • Health Insurance = 6% • Luxury Expenses = 20% • Savings = 35% • The largest percentage of my monthly budget is spent on savings. These should all total about 100%

  10. Other Sources • I looked up how much it would cost to join Gold’s Gym and discovered it would cost $559.99 for a 12 month contract. I decided not to spend the money. Instead, I put that money in my savings account. • I looked on the Gold’s Gym website. It costs $559.99 for a 12 month membership. I decided it would be worth the cost and added that cost to the “other” category in my luxury expenses.
