  2. Shattered Lives: What is it? HSE’s biggest advertising campaign in 2007/08. It aims to: • raise awareness of slips, trips and falls and • inspire action by employers/dutyholders.

  3. Shattered Lives: What does it look like? It consists of: • National and trade press advertising • Local radio advertising • Supportive regional publicity • Direct marketing • A website • Inspection activity

  7. Shattered Lives: Why are we doing it? • Falls from Height are the most common cause of workplace fatalities • Slips and trips are the most common kind of major/serious injury

  8. Shattered Lives: Who is it aimed at? Sectors with a prevalence of slips, trips and falls injuries: • Food & Drink Manufacture • Food Retail • Catering & Hospitality • Construction; and • Plant & building Maintenance
