  2. The United States experienced an historic financial downturn. New York State, the home of Wall Street, is in the center of the storm. This Year Proved Challenging School districts went from enjoying record increases in State Aid to reductions in State Aid

  3. ways to reduce spending, while maintaining the quality program we have come to be known for. Batavia School District Staff Looked For

AWARDS AND DISTINCTIONS • Ranked Batavia #38 of 97 school districts in WNY, up 2 from last year • 45% of graduates rated the advanced designation • Rated as Large Overachiever • Tied for 7th place in Achievement Index (One of 7 areas where Business First ranks the top ten school districts is “Overachievement” (districts that have strong academic records, even though a substantial number of their students live in poverty)
