Google: Advanced Search Options *Please note- Google Search is not permitted for use in Forsyth County Elementary Schools. 98% of Sharon’s 3-5th grade students said that they used “Google” as a search engine at home. *The following slides are intended to assist in streamlining resources when Google is used. (Adult supervision while conducting any online research is always suggested).

  2. Google- Advanced Search Type in a word, then click on “Advanced Search” (NOT the “Google Search” button)

  3. Enter the information you want Now Click on the + sign by “Date, usage rights, numeric range and more”

  4. Now You’ll Get More Accurate & More Appropriate Results! 1. Fill out any additional information 2. Be sure to click SafeSearch- ON 3. Then click on the “Advanced Search” button

  5. Adult Supervision • It is very important that you have adult supervision when conducting ANY online research!
