International Community 2010 A STABLE PLATFORM ESTABLISHED IN 2010 Influence and cooperation • Set an ambitious agenda in our environment and in the media • Close cooperation with the Public Authorities, private companies and the educational institutions in the area • Influence on creation of an One Stop Shop at a national level • Influence on creation of IB certified schools in Aarhus Servicing members • Activities and events for expats and companies • Spouse Community and spouse jobs • New website and online community • Closer cooperation with local cultural institutions and associations and business life

Facts INTERESTING FACTS ABOUT 2010 • Number of members: 1,379 ( 750 in 2009) • More than 1,400 signed up for newsletter (1482) • 68 activities with more than a total number of 1,900 participants Development in the types of activities • First Tuesday • Family days • Info days • Seminars • Lectures • Spouse Community meetings

Online Activity INTERCOM – A new online community • Portal for activities, knowledge and network Both a social and professional focus • More than 400 members • Approx. 15 new members per week ”With an InterCom profile, you can meet other members, sign up for International Community events as well as other members´ own events. Find new friends and equals, join groups, and share experiences”.

New in 2011 • INSIGHT – magazine for internationals in Denmark • Cooperation between Aarhus Media and International Community • Quarterly magazine – first edition February 2011 • Leading magazine for international families • Practical information and insights on expat life in Denmark • Company and HR tool for international employees

Spouse Community • Visiting businesses, cultural, educational and public institution • 16 meetings in 2010 • 128 active members in 2010 – average 15 participants pr. meeting • 7 CV and Cover letter seminars – 5 in 2010 • An enormous challenge for our spouses to find a job when Danish isn’t fluent • Happy to present an innovative member to you: Katarina Lerch
