Applicant prepares proposed development information. • Post DA Lodgement Meeting: • SOPA Planning Staff may write to Applicant outlining information requirements • Applicant prepares development application. • Applicant can request SOPA Planning Staff to review application prior to lodgement Pre development application lodgement meeting and related tasks Applicant formally lodges development application SOPA Planning Unit distributes internal referrals and notifications as required. Potential Public Notification. Further Information necessary. SOPA’s Planning Assessment Officer assesses proposed development and prepares Planning Report Applicant prepares / submits further development information if required Internal SOPA Departments comment where required. Assessment period Depending on complexity of proposed development, Planning Unit may seek independent advice. Peer Review of Report Please allow approximately 42 days to process, assess and determine local development applications Determination on application. Alternatively, SOPA Planning Unit refuses to issue development consent. SOPA Planning Unit issues the development consent to the applicant if favourable determination achieved Applicant right of appeal to NSW Land and Environment Court.
