Enhancement To The Determination Of Delivery Values In Sales Order Business Requirement The business requirement is to take into consideration the material and business event (type of sales) in determining when a sales order is considered complete and closed. By default, these values are copied from the sold-to or ship-to partner. Key Business Driver • Having the correct delivery values in the sales order based on a business scenario rather than just a default value from the sold-to/ship-to. • Reduce the number of customer service intervention/touches to close a sales order. Functional Solution The functional enhances the determination of key delivery values so that it take into account the following fields • Sales order type • Material • Sales area

  3. Functional Solution In the sales order, the following fields will be effected. Partial delivery at item level KNVV-KZTLF Delivery Priority KNVV-LPRIO Maximum Number of Partial Deliveries Allowed Per Item K NVV-ANTLF Unlimited overdelivery allowed KNVV-UEBTK Underdelivery Tolerance Limit KNVV-UNTTO Overdelivery Tolerance Limit KNVV-UEBTO Note : Any other field can be easily added.

  4. Functional Solution – Example of usage By these rules, we can have to following conditions for a single customer • Standard customer sales order. Allow backorder and multiple deliveries for the sales order. • A customer’s return sales order. A single delivery is allowed to be created and processed. Once the delivery has been processed, the order is marked as complete and the customer can be credited. This stops multiple return deliveries if by default the customer is a backorder customer. • Promotion or product event. A customer is by default a backorder customer. However, for a promotion or product launch where there is a product constraint, the sales order can be set to be complete after only one delivery regardless of the quantity shipped. • Rush orders. If a customer is a backorder customer and raises a rush order, there might be a case to close the sales order after one delivery.

  5. This is for the scenario where by default the customer is a backorder customer, but for the return sales orders, we would only allow one return delivery, regardless of the return quantity. SAP Demo
