Grad Information • Grad list will be posted monthly starting in December. • Requirements to be eligible for graduation 2013 • Have all graduation fees paid by April 11, 2013 • Maintain regular and punctual attendance throughout the year • Have successfully completed or be registered in all courses required to meet the minimum requirements for an Alberta High School Diploma or Certificate program. • To be included on the final grad list established on April 25, the student’s current marks must meet the following criteria: • Marks of at least 50% in all non-diploma courses • April report card marks in diploma courses must be 40% or greater • Have final blended marks in semester one diploma courses of 50% or greater. If the blended mark is less than 50% but the school awarded mark is 40% or greater, the student must be registered to re-write the diploma exam in June • Realize that April 25 is the deadline for graduation eligibility with the above conditions. The report card in April will be used to identify at risk students, a formal report will be run by the school on April 25 to identify any graduates who do not meet eligibility. PowerSchool marks will be used for graduation purposes and students are required to track their progress • On track to successfully complete all ADLC course registered through distance learning. If used for diploma requirement, consultation with Mr. Gilewich is required. • Have completed CALM or any independent learning course enrolled through the school by April 25 that will be used as a graduation requirement towards a high school diploma • Have completed at least 2/3 of all diploma courses being taken off campus with a mark of 40% or greater • Students should be aware that uncooperative or inappropriate behavior or pranks will result in removal from the graduation list and other consequences will be applied according to the school’s discipline policy

  4. Grad Photos • Sign-up sheets will be in the office starting Dec. 1. • Appointments are made in the office and photos are taken Jan 21 – 25 at the school. • Photo selection for the grad composite and graduation ceremony will be done when photos are picked up.

  5. Performance Audition • March 13 and March 14 during noon hour • Sign-up and nominations for performances will be open until Friday February 15.

  6. Grad meetings you are required to attend • April 5: Information meeting regarding final grad list and ticket sales for banquet and commencement. A checklist will be handed out that requires tasks to be completed by April 19 for graduation eligibility. • May 28: Grad rehearsal, mandatory attendance during the lunch rehearsal. A grad BBQ lunch will be provided.

  7. Grad Committee: First meeting will be February 15, 2013 during the lunch hour.

  8. Saturday June 1, 2013 • 4:00pm : Doors open • 5:00pm : Banquet • 6:30pm : Commencement • 8:00pm : Dance

  9. Baby pictures and slideshow • Baby pictures must be submitted by April 19. • Please scan and email to wgilewich@forthigh.ca or hand in a picture with name on the back to the office. • Slideshow pictures • Please submit any pictures of graduates only that are appropriate to be used in a slideshow to wgilewich@forthigh.ca • Include the names of all individuals in the picture, please do not send any pictures of non graduates • Pictures will be accepted until April 26

  10. Grad Wear • Payment and orders due for Monday, November 26, at noon.
