  4. Step 3. Insert Click Insert

  5. Step 4. Resize if needed Right click and drag

  6. Step 5. Add Caption • Copy and paste Figure Caption for your photos • Or following a caption press enter to add another caption • Insert the photo before the caption • The template is structured to automatically number the figure captions

Inserting Maps from the Database • Go to website: http://www.commerce.state.ak.us/cra/DCRAExternal • Click on community information and select the first letter of the name of your community • Choose your community from the list. A google map marking the location of your community will be at the top. • You can zoom in or zoom out to get the picture you want. You can also select “map” or “satellite” depending on the picture you want. • To copy map press Alt + Print Screen (key on upper right of keyboard labeled “PrntScr”) Depending on your computer, it may be the “Fn” key instead of the “Alt” key. (Also, PrntScr stands for Print Screen so it might also show as something like “prt sc” or another similar name). • Paste into plan and use the picture tool to crop and resize as needed • Follow same steps for google maps http://maps.google.com/
