  5. Listening Skills The IELTS listening module test is divided into four sections, each getting more difficult. Practice each section of the test with these online practice papers based on the real exam. You only hear each section one time. The time for the test is 40 minutes.   6. Writing Skills The IELTS Writing modules test your ability to produce two quite different pieces of writing in a fairly short period of time. The IELTS writing module varies depending on whether you are doing the Academic Test (for university applications) or the General Test(usually for work / general migration) Writing test is 60 minutes long. It has two writing tasks of 150 words and 250 words. In Task 1, candidates are asked to respond to a situation, by writing a letter.   7. Speaking Skills • IELTS Speaking is a one-to-one interaction between the candidate and an examiner. The three parts give the candidate the opportunity to use a range of different speaking skills. The test is 11 to 14 minutes long with three parts. • IELTS Speaking is recorded.   8. Reading Skills Reading module test is the second part of the IELTS test, and takes 60 minutes. It consists of three or sometimes four reading passages of increasing difficulty, and there is a total of 40 questions to answer.
