  1. WHAT?The World Scholars Cup (WSC) is an educational competition where students from around the world compete against each other in academic events.

  2. WHERE?Nanyang Girls High SchoolSingaporeJune 13-14, 2009

  3. HOW?There are 4 events: 1. a multiple choice challenge 2. a team debate3. an essay4. a live tournament.

  4. Questions are taken from 6 disciplines of knowledge: 1. Visual art2. History3. Literature4. Economics5. Maths6. Science

  5. Additionally…Each year has a theme:2009The Fall of Empires.

  6. WHO?150 teams15 countries

  7. TEAMS?Schools compete in teams of 2 or 3.You may choose you own team.

  8. WHAT WILL WE DO?

  9. PREPARATION!WSC club 1 day/week, after school. Competing students must join this club to practice for the event and receive news updates.

  10. COST?I don’t know yet.Final prices will be calculated when we have student numbers.Maybe $750?
