  • He went for more than one time across The cape of Good Hope

  • He went more than one time to the Far East

  • After a fight with King Maonel II of Portugal he turned towards the Spanish

  • He and a Ruy de Falero (a friend of his) presented to the king of Spain Charles V a western expedition going around the tip of South America would take to the Moluccas (Islands rich in spice)

  • The king accepted this expedition.

  • Sailed from it to the Moluccas

  • While in the Philippines he got killed in a fight with natives.

  • He never reach the Moluccas.

  • Only the Victoria Returned to Spain.
