  4. Testimonials “The Leadership Greater Augusta program was informative, inspiring, and often immediately applicable to my daily work. From the insights gained through the Strengths Deployment Inventories assessment to the final session on Community Trusteeship, there was something I could put to use every month. Add to that the opportunity to meet and work with my fellow classmates and the community leaders engaged in the program and I would recommend LGA to anyone looking to grow as a leader in their career, community, and personal life.” Amy Wratchford Managing Director American Shakespeare Center “LGA was a wonderful experience. I learned a lot about myself and how to react in different situations that you may come across in a normal work day. I came away with being more organized, to plan my schedule the day before. It was also great to meet everyone in the class.” Stewart Douglass Marketing Executive EyeOne

  5. Testimonialscontinues “My name is Bobbie Howell, I work for Lumos Networks in Waynesboro Virginia as a Manager, Billing Administrator. I participated in the Leadership Greater Augusta 2012-2013 Program. I learned things from this program, that I could apply to my work life, and the work I do supporting community programs. I gained some new friends from this program, along with some great contacts. I developed new skills for successfully networking with others. I learned some techniques that have improved my public speaking skills and learned techniques for managing conflict to help strengthen my work and non-work relationships. Team dynamics were interesting as our individual Strength Deployment Inventory-SDI set the tone for how we thought we would work together and then the reality of actually putting our strengths to action, when working on our team projects.” Bobbie Howell Manager – Billing Administration Lumos Networks

  6. Testimonials continues “Leadership Greater Augusta was a great experience. I learned many valuable leadership skills that will help me professionally and personally. I would recommend LGA to anyone who wants to improve their leadership skills while learning more about the Greater Augusta Community. LGA is an excellent opportunity to network with other leaders in the community. I am grateful that the Greater Augusta Chamber of Commerce provided me the opportunity to participate and grow as a leader and hope that the chamber develops a follow up program.” Andy Tutwiler Lantz Construction “I would speak briefly about the different ah-ha moments throughout the training, such as SDI, the scavenger hunt, communication, speech development and presentation, difficult conversations and finally, the self- reflection that occurs when developing your own mission, vision and values statements. And finally, I would tie this all together by summarizing servant leadership; that it begins with a transformation of the heart, mind, hands and body to ensure alignment in the behavior demonstrated every day.” Tim Montgomery Operations Manager Ball Advanced Aluminum Technologies
