Solid Earth Science ESDR System PI’s: Frank Webb (JPL) and Yehuda Bock (SIO) • Goal: • Support Earth Surface and Interiors (ESI) science goals by providing mature, long-term surface deformation Earth Science Data Records (ESDRs) for understanding earthquakes and the processes that drive tectonic motion • Objectives: • Deliver verified and validated GPS data products through a portal that facilitates data exploration • Key Innovations: • Web portal technology for data exploration • Verified and validated high-level surface deformation data sets for studying tectonic motions • Workflow that integrates high-level data products with modeling tools

Solid Earth Science ESDR System PI’s Frank Webb (JPL) and Yehuda Bock (SIO) • NASA Relevance: • NASA Earth science enterprise requires efficient methods for knowledge discovery in global multivariate time series data. • Supports ESI focus area, NASA’s component to EarthScope’s Plate Boundary Observatory (PBO), and in situ verification and validation for DESDynI Decadal Survey mission. • Mitigation of risks from geological hazards and development of natural resources.
