3. ABOUT UNIVERSITY GLA University was set up in the year 1988. The GLA University is located in Mathura city. Moreover, it is a private university. 5. HISTORY To make Mathura, not only a pilgrim destination for religious purposes but also a destination for the believers and aspirants of knowledge, GLA was established. Moreover, it was the earnest desire of Late Shri Ganeshi Lal Agrawal to establish a center for academic excellence in Mathura. Thereupon, Shri Narayan Das Agrawal took a big step towards fulfilling this desire of his late father in 1991. Currently, GLA is an institute of academic excellence for more than 12000 students. Thus, the university provides education at Diploma, Undergraduate, Postgraduate, and Doctoral levels. Moreover, it offers more than 80 courses in various streams to its students. In fact, in its academic style, the university has a student-centric approach. Hence, it examines its student by following semester- wise examination as well as Choice based credit system (CBCS).
