  2. Vision: What’s the Cathedral?Our vision is to fill North County San Diego and beyond with the gospel to bring renewal in our lives, church, and communities for the glory of God.

  4. 1. Mission as a Church • To be a diverse, multiethnic, and multi-generational family of faith connecting with Jesus, growing in grace, and being released to serve and be a blessing to the communities God has placed us in.

Mission for North County and Beyond • To bring spiritual renewal through spreading the gospel and church planting • To bring social renewal through delivering mercy and justice to the oppressed • To bring cultural renewal through strengthening marriages and families, impacting the marketplace, and engaging the arts • To be part of a citywide and global gospel movement through partnering with other churches and ministries

  6. Central Value: The Gospel Renews Everything! 2 Corinthians 5:17: “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come!” Revelation 5:5: “And He who was seated on the throne said, ‘Behold, I am making all things new.’” In the gospel, through Jesus not only are we being made new, but God is on a mission to make all things new!

What’s been going on? • Addressing future personnel (Paul connecting with all staff and processing with both sessions) • Paul visiting NCPC small groups and preaching at NCPC services • Joint Elders meetings • Joint Finance Team meetings • Joint Staff meetings • Joint Prayer meetings • Joint sessions working on FAQ document addressing feasibility

  13. What’s going to happen? • Monthly joint Prayer Meetings • Finalize FAQ document and share with both congregations • Town Hall meeting/Q and A follow up on FAQ • Visits to community groups • Good faith vote end of April/early May (target date April 28, 2013)
