  1. Sometimes we pit Scripture against Scripture and create a conflict or contradiction. Romans 3:23 vs. Job 1:1 Have all people sinned?

  2. Romans 3:9-10 9 What then? Are we better than they? Not at all. For we have previously charged both Jews and Greeks that they are all under sin. 10 As it is written: "There is none righteous, no, not one; Romans 3:23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, ALL HAVE SINNED

  3. Psalm 14:3 They have all turned aside, They have together become corrupt; There is none who does good, No, not one. 1 John 5:19 We know that we are of God, and the whole world lies under the sway of the wicked one. ALL HAVE SINNED

  4. Job 1:1 There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was blameless and upright, and one who feared God and shunned evil. Genesis 5:24 And Enoch walked with God; and he was not, for God took him. Genesis 6:8-9 8 But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord. 9 This is the genealogy of Noah. Noah was a just man, perfect in his generations. Noah walked with God. ALL HAVE NOT SINNED

  5. Genesis 7:1 Then the Lord said to Noah, "Come into the ark, you and all your household, because I have seen that you are righteous before Me in this generation. Luke 1:5-6 5 There was in the days of Herod, the king of Judea, a certain priest named Zacharias, of the division of Abijah. His wife was of the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elizabeth. 6 And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless. ALL HAVE NOT SINNED

  6. 1 Timothy 3:2 A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, temperate, sober-minded, of good behavior, hospitable, able to teach; Titus 1:5-6 5 For this reason I left you in Crete, that you should set in order the things that are lacking, and appoint elders in every city as I commanded you-- 6 if a man is blameless, the husband of one wife, having faithful children not accused of dissipation or insubordination. ALL HAVE NOT SINNED

  7. All (accountable) people have sinned • Not infants, children • Not those with limited capacity • Job, Enoch, Noah, Zacharias and Elizabeth (and elders) – are not sinless • Blameless = not likely to be blamed • Perfect = mature, not immature acting Have all people sinned?

  8. In every generation there are people who are: Godly, righteous, obedient to God Sinners, wicked, mean, cruel, immoral No one (other than Jesus) can keep the law of God perfectly and without sin. That is why we (on our own) deserve condemnation This is why we need a savior – Jesus Christ Have all people sinned?
