WP6 Introduction • Global Objectives: Elaboration of development strategies for 5 ARGE subregions and 19 Cross-Danube regions • Specific objectives: • Development of regional partnership & • Elaboration of methodology. • Timetable: March 2010 – May 2012 (extended) • Area of interest: Cross-Danuberegion + „corearea“

WP6 Methodology (1) • Objectives: • identifying measures and linkages within CDR • propose new measures to overcome existing bottlenecks in CDRs - development of the NUTS 3 by improving and strengthening Crossdanube linkages • Number of steps: 6 • D+ Web server support: onlineapps and forms • Outputs: administrative and methodological.

WP6 Methodology (2) • Steps: • Definition of CDR („core area“ - time-accesibility model + expert definition). • a) Identification of key stakeholders (regional self-government, municipal self-government, regional development agencies, euro regions, major private companies), b) Establishing of the working groups (key stakeholders + project experts) & c) Agreement on schedule of the meetings. • Identification of relevant documents, measures and projects with focus on cross border linkages & Assignment of the measures and projects to the particular indicators. • Analytical description, SWOT analysis of the CDR, Identification of bottlenecks and disparities (within CDR & among CDRs). • Proposal of the new measures with cross Danube effect and Evaluation of new proposed measures on NUTS 3 indicators values (through WP5 prognoses). • Development of sectoral strategies for CDR (global objective, specific objectives, priorities and measures).
