  3. Ⅰ、Introduction With the heightened quality of department of environmental science and environmental engineering, who has born the main responsibility? Where does the money go? How can the title of professor, associate professor or lecturer be awarded? With regard to the general quality of teachers, which is thought to be determined by the amount of relevant paper, such as SCI&SSCI, we set our mind to resolve the problems above.

  4. Ⅱ、Study approach 1、Since the title awarding is mainly related to recent papers, in this PPT, we collect the information regarding every teacher from SCIE, especially from 2006 to 2010, and then we will compare the theoretical amount with the actual.

  5. 2、We mainly research the total number of every teacher, the number of papers which consist of the teacher as corresponding author or first author, and the impact factor of each teacher. Finally, we will predict the future amount according to the conclusion we have drawn.

  7. Ⅲ、Specimen analysis The following specimen are from the departments of both environmental science and environmental engineering, except for some retired and excellent scholars, say Deng NS.

  8. Here, we mainly talk about the FA, RP, and OA. All the papers below are with the signature of Wuhan University, School of Resources & Environmental Science, or Department of Environmental Engineering.

  9. In the following analysis, we research every teacher respectively. We use IF to evaluate the quality of their papers, which is in accordance with the following formula: IF=TC/P The papers involve with years from 2006 to 2010, and are of FA&RP.

  41. Conclusion To make it more obvious, we will use the following graphics in which the number is descending down. The number is the total amount of papers as FA&RP from 2006 to 2011.

  42. Ⅳ、Primary ranking From data above, we primitively and subjectively arrive at the following conclusion, which may be very controversial. However, this is what we obtain.

  43. Ⅴ、 Magnum opus We select top 10 authors’ magnum opuses which respectively has the highest TC, including AU(author),TI(title),SO(source),and TC (times cited).
