General information • Joint project (more than one beneficiary: Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro) • Applicant: Faculty of Political Science, Belgrade University • 36 months, October 15th 2012- October 14th 2015 • 10 partners (8 universities and 2 NGOs) • Team Leader & Contact person: Mrs. VesnaKnezevic-Predic

Project Goals • Increasing awareness, understanding and knowledge about the EU public policies in Serbia, BIH and Montenegro • Capacity building of the partner universities for research and training delivery • Addressing the need for specific training courses for civil servants, entrepreneurs and NGO activists • Contributing to the development of lifelong learning in the society at large in Serbia, BIH and Montenegro

Focus of the DEPOCEI Project Capacity building of the partner universities to provide teaching and training on EU public policies for civil servants, business community and NGOs, and disseminate information on EU public processes. Facilitating and fostering regional academic cooperation and networking 1. Establishment of the centres for EU public policies at the BU, UN, UoM, US and UNTZ 2. Development of the training programs, methodology, materials and manual. 3. Development of trainers and researchers (ToT, books & journals) 4. Delivery of pilot trainings

  7. Role of the EU partners • Transfer of experiences and know-how • Monitoring, peer reviewing, evaluation

Role of the Partners • Establishment of the centres, adopting necessary bylaws, assignment of the premises for the centres, purchase of the equipment • Recruitment of the future trainers • Networking with the competent ministries, business chambers, relevant NGOs and their umbrella organizations

  9. Visibility • Promotional events • Website • Brochures with information on the latest or the most important EU legislation and policy measures • Dissemination of project deliverables • Advertising • Ana Milojevic

  10. Sustainability • Centres!!! • Business and marketing plan • Memoranda of understanding, cooperation and partnership with state institutions and private sector organizations • Applying for grants and commercialization of the centres’ services

Quality control an management • Steering Committee: preparing instructions for reporting • Semi-annual reporting by all the partners of the consortium to the Steering Committee. • EU partners analyze final versions of the training programmes, syllabi and manuals and provide feed-back. • EU partners will visit training centres, observe the trainings and prepare reports. • Centres will do internal analysis of delivered trainings and fill the reports. • Inter-project coaching: exchanging experiences with other (similar) Tempus project(s). • External control: Intermediate Report to EACEA (not later than April 15th 2014; Final Report: December 14th 2014.

Timeline, deadlines • April 15th 2013: Report on comparative analysis of training needs (Partner countries) • May 15th 2013: Report on best training practice (EU partner countries) • June 15th 2013: establishment of the centres for EU public policies at partner universities • June 2013/September 2013:Monitor visit to training centres by EU partners/preparation of reports • October 2013: Defined training programmes for policy areas (at least 5). Final versions at the Alicante workshop

  13. Timeline, deadlines • April 2014: Defined courses content and methodology (syllabi and teaching materials). Final versions at the Leiria workshop • January 2014: Developed methodological manual for trainers. Final version after the Bratislava workshop • June 2014: Translation of selected teaching and training materials • Summer 2014: delivery of pilot trainings for civil servants, entrepreneurs and NGO activists

  14. Timeline, deadlines • May 2014: ToT for university teachers from Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro in Nis • October 1st 2013/April 1st 2014/October 1st 2014:Publication of brochures with nutshell information on selected EU public policies • August 1st 2015: Business and marketing plan for trainings after the end of the project • September 1st 2015: Final regional conference in Sarajevo
