  1. School Council 2013! In school council this year we have done a variety of things as you are about to hear about. Also you will hear about what we would like the next school council to do in 2013/2014!

  2. School Dinner Menu. We asked Pat the cook a question. What time do you get to school in the morning to prepare the dinner? She said “We get to school at about 7:15am and the dinner is ready to serve by 10:30am.” We then asked our classes which menu they would like? The most popular was The British Menu!

  3. School Talent show! Just before the Christmas holidays the whole school had a talent contest. The whole of school council put it together all by themselves from all the acts to the signs! It was a great success and all the acts were absolutely amazing. At the end of the talent show the teachers got up and did a song, it was very funny!

  4. Do children feel safe at school? Mrs Cutajar asked school council if they felt safe while they were at school. Some people said yes and some said sort of. We discussed why we didn’t feel safe at school. A few people said that the playgrounds weren't very safe as people talk through the fence especially in the junior playground. We drew a spider diagram where people could write there views.

  5. Golden time and the golden rules! We spoke to Mrs Warren about the golden rules and whether they work or not. Most of us said yes but a few said that people didn’t really take much notice of what the golden rules said. We then talked about golden time and whether we enjoyed it. Most of us said that we didn’t really enjoy golden time as we didn’t really do fun things. Mrs Warren then sent us away to ask our classes to ask them what they would like to do in golden time.

  6. Tuck drop! Some of the year 6s run a tuck shop on a Friday at first break, at which children can buy food. Prices range from 50p to 10p! We received an email from another school asking us what are tuck shop was like and how successful it was. We responded saying that we are very successful. They also asked us what prices we sold our goods at as they wanted to set up their own tuck shop. We were happy to help!

  7. Christmas fair! With Debra and Jemma’s help we managed to sell some food at the Christmas fair. Jemma and Debra gathered some children together and cooked some biscuits so that school council could sell them. We were going to use the money for the school funds to bye something great for the school. A lot of them went and people seemed to enjoy them. Well done all the children who made them!

  8. What do we want the next school council to do? Our aim for the next school council are high so we hope they are up for the challenge! We would like them to visit other schools to see there playgrounds so that we can have a possible trim trail. We would also like them to decide other things that will be of use to the school in the future!
