CCT PMI (Pérennisation et Mise à disposition des Informations numériques) CNES Competence Working Group on Preservation and Access for Digital Information Organizes internal meetings and workshops: • Workshop on catalogue constellations (manage to organize a number of different catalogues as if they were a single operational and thematic entity) • Virtualizing a data storage

  4. French PIN Working Group (Digital Information Preservation Working Group) • This group has regular meetings: • May 09: magnetic device • September09: archival platforms and tools • January 2010: certification • May 2010: management of an Archive Project, database preservation

  5. Certification • The CNES certification study stopped at the end of 2009: • A certification audit on the CDPP (Plasma Physics Data Center) was done using the TRAC document. • RIDs were sent for the document review. • A presentation on certification has been given to CNES archive managers.

  6. Ongoing work for Producer Archive Interface Specification • PAIS White Book version 12 • We are close to solving the last issues. • New PAIS prototype • Budget forecast planned for the end of 2010 (for Red Book) • Ready to work by teleconference this week (Daniele)

  7. Other interesting facts • CNES data storage migration (around 1 year duration): renewal of the infrastructure (from IBM/Storage Tek to Sun/Storage Tek). • Update of the OAIS RM French translation by end of 2010 (modifications after ISO review –if they exist- will be taken into account in 2011)
