  2. Summary • In the beginning of the movie Guido, who is Jewish, comes to town working as a waiter. As one day he meets a local school teacher. He falls in love with her instantly. The women he is in love with is Dora, a wealthy non-jew. Guido literly takes Dora from her Angagement party. While Dora is with Guido she falls in love with him. They end up getting married and to have one boy. But when it was around Giosues Birthday world war 2 has begun. Guido, Guido's uncle, and Giosue are tooken to a concentration camp on Giosue's Birthday. When Dora sees her family is missing she tells a natzi soldier that they need to take her too. When they all arrive at the camp Guido tell Giosue the camp is a game and to win you must get 1000 points to win the tank. Guodo does a very good job at hiding things from his son and hiding his son but untill world war 2 finishes and all the Jewish people want to leave a fight happens in the camp as guido hides his son in a little box and tells him if he is not back soon do not come out untill it is quite. Guido dresses up as a girl and tries to go see his wife ,which he has not seen for a long time.

  3. Summary Continued  • As he tries to get Dora, she is in a truck and leaving the camp but when he tries to go back to his son and leave he gets caught and the natzi kills him. When alot of time has gone by and it is quite Giosue gets out of the box and when he is in the middle of the court yard a big tank comes around the corner while he is shocked and stares an American man get out of the tank and starts speaking english to him when he figures out he does not speak english he get Giosue and put him in the tank, his dream. While they are leaving the camp and leading the Jews away from the camp Giosue sees his mom, when he gets out of the tank he hugs his mom and tells him he won the game. Not untill the end of the movie would you know how is narrating the movie it was Giosue, when he was grown up.

  4. My Response  • I Loved this movie and how Guido pretended the Concentration Camp was a Game for his Kid. And How He would hide him and realy did everything for him to live. Also, i love that at the very end you could tell that Giosue was narrating the movie and looking up to his father.  • And at the very end of the movie i shed a tear! It was amazing.
