The Devil’s Tools • Deceit---Envy • Worldliness • Pride • Etc. • Highest priced tool of Satan is Discouragement • With this tool Satan can pry inside a person’s mind- once Satan gets inside a person’s mind with discouragement- he rules them when nothing else works. • It works so well since most do not know it is his tool.

  4. Reality • Can be caused by many things: • Family matters • Yielding to temptation • Enemies • Friends • Perceived failures • Sickness • (etc.)

  5. To Exemplify • Job- was patient- waited on the Lord- thought discouraged- Job 1:20-22; 2:10 • Moses-stubborn people cost him the promised land-discouraged • Exodus 17:4; Numbers 16:1-4; 20:3-11 • Elijah- discouraged, lonely-God Put him to work-1 Kings 19:4-18

  14. ConcludingThoughts Great people of faith had to deal with disappointments, frustrations, and discouragement. All of us will face disappointments, frustrations, and discouragement. We can use them to strengthen us – or we can allow them to destroy us . . . What about you?? Remember, you are not alone, (1 Peter 5:7) Get busy serving the Lord!
