  1. ALLERGY OF THE DIGESTIVE SYSTEM (GI ALLERGY) Symptoms of allergy in the digestive system (GI tract) are common. Adult Sufferers of GI allergies may have one or more of the following complaints: Poor appetite Frequent nausea or vomiting Frequent or excessive belching and bloating Difficulty swallowing Burning sensation or pain in the chest when swallowing Hyperacidity or pain in the stomach area Frequent diarrheas Abundant amounts of mucus, blood or fat in the stool Vague pain in the abdomen or chronic constipation. Confusion with hyperactive bowel or ulcerative colitis Confusion with Celiac disease Confusion with mal-absorption diseases Periods of no or minimal symptoms Many visits to physicians, clinics or hospitals for irregular GI symptoms Infant and young children Sufferers of GI allergies may have one or more of the following complaints: Frequent colic in babies Vomiting after introducing formula feeding Difficulty in introducing new foods or drinks
