Many families from the Galilee region would camp on this ridge each night and walk into the city each day. The Mount of Olive is a favorite spot for group photos.

It was Passover and he knew his life was in danger. He also knew that he could walk up and over the Mount of Olives and in 10 minutes he would be in the safety of the Judean Wilderness. But Jesus chose to stay and face the cross. Groups come to the Garden of Gethsemane to remember how Jesus prayed on the night that he was arrested.
