The four weekly assignments will be combined for a weekly participation grade. Students completing all four assignments will receive a 100 for the weekly participation grade.

  5. Quizzes and Tests • Quiz grades count once in grade book. • Test grades count twice in the grade book. • Chunking will be used to teach material. Students will be quizzed on each chunk. Chunks of material will be combined as a test. • Quizzes and Tests will be kept in a portfolio in my room. Parents may come in at any time to review their child’s portfolio.

  6. Two Pocket Folder • Each day as you enter the room you will find on the school pad practice EOG problems. • These will be kept on the right side of your two pocket folder. You will need to put the date and work for each day’s problems. You can put several problems on one sheet of paper. (front and back) • At the end of each nine weeks a quiz will be given on these problems. Students will be allowed to use their work kept in the two pocket folder to take the quiz.

  7. Two Pocket Folder Continued • Each nine weeks you will be given a table of contents. You will place this sheet on the left side of your folder. • After completing your class work/homework each day place that paper in front of your table of contents so you can find it the next day when we check the assignment. • Each day after checking your class work /homework assignment for the previous day you will fill out your table of contents, place the page number in the top right hand corner of your assignment, and place it behind your table of contents. • At then end of the nine weeks, we will collect the table of contents and assignments. We will grade it and then place it in your portfolio.

  8. Absences • If you are absent from school one or several days, you may have your parent call the school between 9:00 and 10:00 a.m. to arrange to pick up your missed work. • You can wait until you return to school to make up the work. • If you know you will be out of school for several days, you may want to talk with your team teachers about the work you will miss.
