PROS They can express their opinions CONS It’s been banned for a reason; something triggered the BBFC’s guidelines to ban it – it could be disturbing to people, or cause something to happen. PROS Could meet someone – studies show that 1 in 5 relationships start online. match.com PROS You get to watch the film you want to watch. CONS Their views can be extreme and offend others CONS Possibility for child grooming, and sexual assaults (Skout – 3 teenagers assaulted) [Ensure you include current affairs/media examples!] CONCLUSION There are ridiculous amounts of reasons to say that the internet SHOULD be more regulated, but when Wikipedia spoke out against ACTA and SOPA; two different internet regulations proposed, the outcry from the public was massive; with people calling up their state congressmen to say how they were against it. The majority of the public were clearly against this, as the two regulations have been dropped from congress.
