  5. The BaseLineOption“Stazione Marittima” The main feature of this proposal is the location of the Workshop Building, which is down-town, in the town centre, directly located on the see side, near (within walking distance) to several hotels, a number of restaurants, most of Trieste Museums, the historical nucleus of the town and the most elegant shopping area.

  6. Workshop building • At the Stazione Marittima Congress Centre, in the centre of the town, directly on the see side. The auditorium proposed is “Oceania” Room, version A + B, 132 seats (if needed, the option “Oceania” Room, version A + B + C, 275 seats can be considered). • A secretariat room will be available in the same building as well as a “terminal” room. • Lunches (Catering Service) will be served at the Congress Centre.

  7. Hotel accommodation • As a base-line we propose “3 stars” hotels in the town center, within walking distance from the Congress Centre. The cost of a single room can be about 100 € per night; sharing a double room can result in about 2/3 that cost per person. • In the center of the town, at a few minutes walk from the Stazione Marittima, there are also three “4 stars” hotels. • No transportation to/from hotels is needed. • Lunches • Voucers for the catering service at the congress centre, ~ 120 € for the six days. • Dinners • free for dinner; in the town center, and particularly near the see, they can found several restaurants with quite diversified offers (from pizza to a full fish dinners). NOTE: all cost are 2004 evaluation
