Mote Network Operational Scenario • Motes enclosure includes a transparent window • Motes have 4 enclosure-internal and 4 external sensors • Motes acquire 8 data values every 5 minutes • Temperature oC: Two external, one internal • Relative humidity RH: Two external, one internal • Photosynthetically Active Radiation (PAR): One internal • Total Solar Radiation (TSR): One internal • Periodically data is recovered to a Gateway Mote • Once every 12 hours • Gateway leads to a computer where data is stored in a database. • Motes otherwise hibernate to extend field operation lifetime
