ESL B is aligned with the BPS language arts curriculum, with modifications to meet the needs of English language learners. ESL B students work on the same reading and writing strategies, genres, literary analysis, and themes and skills as their native English-speaking classmates. Direct grammar instruction in English is also provided.
We will start the year by working on QAR (reading comprehension strategy) and focusing on short stories
ESL C is aligned with the BPS language arts curriculum, with modifications to meet the needs of English language learners. ESL C students continue increasing their ability to analyze, synthesize, and evaluate information, increase their independent reading, and become more proficient writers.
We will start the year by reviewing QAR (reading comprehension strategy), and focusing on non-fiction (soon we will begin projects with this genre)
