Type 1 is mild

  • Brittle teeth

  • Normal stature

  • Weak muscles

  • Loose joints

  • Type 2 and 3 are severe

  • Several fractures

  • Bone deformities

  • Poor posture

  • Underdeveloped lungs

Type 4 correlates of type 1 and 2 in higher severity

  • Children with OI are prone to fractures.

  • Transportation: car seats, strollers…

  • Bathing

  • Clothing

  • Going to school

  • To know that other parents who have children with OI are normally raised like any other child.

  • More attention, care and love

    are involved.

  • Go seek genetic counseling.

  • To understand that it is not

    your wrongdoing.
