Reference Global - Functionality and Hosting • Simple and advanced searches, browsing alphabetically and by subject area across the entire platform • eBooks and eJournals actively linked across all subject areas • Option to recommend eBooks and eJournal articles to librarians and colleagues • Incorporation of bibliographic data into programmes for administering literature and citations • Display of most frequently read and cited articles together with related content

Reference Global - Functionality and Hosting • Librarians can manage collections using library administration tools: - Download MARC 21 records - Check Counter compliant usage statistics - Control IP ranges - Add library logo and banners to the site • Platform interface available in English or German

  7. eBooks at De Gruyter • Approximately 700 new titles are added annually. • All De Gruyter eBooks are full-text searchable, indexed, and provided with DOIs and MARC records. Long-term archiving is supplied by Portico.

  8. eBook Plus • An increasing number of De Gruyter’s print reference worksare available online in eBookPLUS format. • The eBookPLUS format combines the content of a book with enhanced, database-like search functionality.

Purchase options and access • De Gruyter eBooks can be ordered individually, as pick andchoose packages, or as fixed packages. • The eBook price is the same as the print price. • Our eBooks are available for purchase only. There are no annual access fees. • Authentication is via the IP address of the institution. • All eBooks can be accessed simultaneously by an unlimitednumber of authorized users, whether on campus or remotly,for an unlimited period of time.

  10. eBook packages Pick and Choose Packages Customers can select and purchase between 20 and 50 eBooksand receive a 5% discount on the total list price. For purchasesof 51 or more eBooks, we grant a 10% discount.   11. DE GRUYTER e-ditionup to date since 1749 • Each title is available as an eBook (for libraries and institutions)and as a hardcover reprint. If retro-digitization of a title isnecessary, delivery will take ten weeks. • Thanks to e-dition, even titles published way back in 1749are available with today’s state-of-the-art functionality. Likeall De Gruyter eBooks, e-dition titles are full-text searchable,indexed, and provided with DOIs and MARC records.

Online Databases - Basics • Currently over 20 databases available online • Databases with predominantly German language content have an English language user interface • Databases are currently hosted on more than one platform. It is intended to bring them all on to de Gruyter‘s Reference Global platform as soon as possible.

Saur Verlag’s Biographical Archives - a total of 57 Online Archives
