  1. Pomelo(pamelo, pompela, szadok) uprawia się w rejonach gdzie podczas ich rozwoju i wzrostu jest temperatura powyżej 25 stopni. Największe plantacje zakładane są w Indiach, Chinach, Tajlandii i Izraelu Pomelo

  2. Pomelo cenione są za swój soczysty miąż, który spożywa się zarówno na surowo jak i po przetworzeniu. Spotkać je można w postaci soków, marmolady, a także owoców kandyzowanych.

  3. Pomelo jest okazałą rośliną. Drzewo pomarańczy olbrzymiej rośnie aż do 12m wysokości.

  4. Owoce mogą mieć średnicę 20 cm – są bardzo duże, kuliste, miąższ jest żółty, żółtozielony bądź różowy.
