INTRODUCTORY REMARKS

Future

  • Israel’s objectives:
  • 1. Enabling safe, efficient and easy mobility around the world for its citizens.
  • 2. Provide foreigners who cross Israel’s borders with safe, efficient and convenient service.
  • Both, while preventing terror, crimes and illegal migration.
  • In order to achieve these goals Israel will:
    • continue to adopt international standards in various fields that provide complete solutions.
    • continue to issue passports (e) with biometrics to its citizens.
    • try to take part in global trusted travelers programs (MFA)
    • endeavor to open e-gates that meet the standards and best practices, and provide solutions to the demands of the various agencies involved at border crossings.
    • advance cooperation with other countries with the goal of improving its threat oriented security check and API capabilities.
    • work independently and in cooperation with other countries to advance R&D in the field of biometric applications.
